The Pishwash — Raw Silk, Reimagined
The foundation of this ensemble is a floor-sweeping pishwash in pure carmine raw silk — a fabric chosen for its weight, its luminosity, and the way it holds hand-embroidery without distortion. Across its surface, HBO’s in-house embroidery team has executed a dense field of zardozi, resham, and sequin work in antique gold tones, punctuated by delicate floral clusters and trailing vine motifs. The neckline and cuffs carry concentrated embellishment — a hallmark of the HBO Atelier aesthetic — where craftsmanship is most visible and most celebrated.
The Lehenga — Chanderi Silk in Living Colour
Beneath the pishwash, a pure Chanderi silk lehenga unfolds in vibrant multicolour tones — a deliberate counterpoint to the carmine above. Floral bunches in jewel tones are woven directly into the fabric, brought to life with lively chattapatti accents along every border.
