Georgette saree — six yards of hand-placed gold, made for the woman who notices the difference
Some sarees you drape. This one you carry with the knowledge that every gold boti on the fabric was placed by hand, one needle at a time, at our atelier in Multan. The georgette saree from Hammad Bespoke Official is built on heavy crimson georgette — a fabric chosen for the depth of its red and the way it holds hand-embroidery without pulling. Across the full six yards, the Master Artisan has scattered kaamdani bootis in antique gold: flat metal sequin work that catches the light at every movement without overwhelming the drape.
The border is the defining detail. A wide Zardozi band in antique gold runs the full length, finished with a hand-scalloped edge. Zardozi — gold wire needlework with roots in the Mughal imperial ateliers — is executed here at the density reserved for bridal work. The border weight is deliberately calibrated: heavy enough to hold the drape’s fall at the hem, light enough that six-yard wear remains comfortable across a full evening. The matching blouse is plain red with a gold Zardozi cuff band, cut to sit as the saree’s anchor rather than compete with it.

If you prefer a lighter fabric for the same occasion, the red chiffon saree offers a different drape with similar bridal embellishment. The atelier’s craft — kaamdani, Zardozi, and the geometry of hand-placed gold
Kaamdani: flat metal sequin work from Lucknow
Kaamdani is a technique developed in the Lucknow courts of the 17th century — thin metal sequins (tilla) pressed flat into fabric by hand, each one positioned individually to form a motif. On this georgette saree, the kaamdani bootis follow a scattered field pattern: small four-petal florals spaced across the body of the saree at regular intervals. The spacing is deliberate. Too dense and the georgette loses its drape; too sparse and the effect reads as plain fabric at distance. The Master Artisan at our Multan atelier calibrates this by eye, adjusting density section by section as the saree is assembled.
Zardozi border: gold wire needlework at bridal density
The border work is Zardozi — real gold-toned wire coiled and couched onto the georgette ground by hand. Zardozi traces to the Mughal imperial ateliers, where it was reserved for royal court garments; the Victoria and Albert Museum’s South Asian embroidery collection documents examples of this technique from the 16th century onwards. At our atelier, the border is worked at full-coverage density: wire coiling fills the entire band, with the scalloped edge cut and anchored by hand after the embroidery is complete. The embroidery on a piece this size takes the Master Artisan between 80 and 100 hours.
Bespoke customization and fit
Every commission at Hammad Bespoke Official begins with a WhatsApp consultation before the atelier starts any work. We record your blouse measurements — bust, waist, neckline depth, sleeve length, back design — and build from there. The Bespoke Fit Guarantee covers every order: if something is off when the saree arrives, we remake it. For customers in the USA, UK, Canada, and UAE ordering from outside Pakistan, we use a 40-measurement system and can work from measurements taken at a local tailor if you prefer. The saree drape length and fall are adjusted to your height as a standard part of every commission.
The blouse neckline, sleeve, and back design on this piece can be changed at no additional charge. Common requests include a deeper neckline, a backless design, full-length sleeves, or a keyhole back. The Zardozi cuff band can be extended to cover the full sleeve if preferred. Contact us on WhatsApp before placing your order to confirm your specifications.
Worldwide delivery and garment care
The georgette saree ships insured from our Multan atelier to USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and worldwide. Every order comes with full tracking from dispatch to delivery. Packaging: the saree is folded in acid-free tissue, placed in a garment bag, and boxed for international transit. Delivery timeline is 8–10 weeks from order confirmation, which includes embroidery time and the WhatsApp fitting consultation for the blouse. For georgette care: dry clean only; store flat or rolled in acid-free tissue away from direct light.
Frequently asked questions
Can the blouse design be changed from what is shown in the photos?
Yes — the blouse is made to your specification. The design shown is the default: plain red with a Zardozi cuff band. We can adjust the neckline, sleeve, back design, or extend the border work. Confirm your preference via WhatsApp before the atelier begins work on the blouse.
Do you ship this georgette saree to the USA?
Yes. HBO ships all saree commissions to the USA, UK, Canada, UAE, and worldwide — insured and tracked. We recommend placing your order 10 weeks before your event date to allow for embroidery time and the blouse fitting consultation.
Is the embroidery on this saree done by hand or machine?
All of it is hand-worked. The kaamdani bootis are placed individually by the Master Artisan at our Multan atelier using traditional flat-sequin technique. The Zardozi border is couched by hand using gold wire. No machine embroidery is used at any stage of production.
